UK Announces 75 Fully-Funded Scholarships for Indian students this September

Latest report reaching us today, confirms that the United Kingdom (UK) government in partnership with India’s foremost leading businesses, has announced to offer 75 scholarships for Indian students to mark the country’s 75th year of Independence.

This is the highest number of fully-funded scholarships offered by the UK to date for the one-year Master’s programs for qualified India students.

According to confirmed report reaching us, these businesses are among the top businesses that made this special initiative UK scholarship for Indian students possible include HSBC, Pearson India, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Sons, and Duolingo. All qualified candidates applying or are still planning to study in the UK starting September this year, can now apply.

The UK scholarship programs for Indian students include Chevening scholarships for a one-year master’s program, including the opportunity to study any subject at any recognised UK university of your choice.

To spice things up, the British Council in India is offering an additional Eighteen (18) scholarships, especially for women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields – covering more than 12,000 courses across a total of over One hundred and fifty (150) UK universities. The British Council is also offering six English scholarships.

What Expenses are Covered by the Scholarship?

One of the first questions you should be asking when offered a scholarship is this: “What expenses will this scholarship cover?” and see if you have the money or funds to cover other expenses too.

However, this scholarship is fully funded. If you want to know what expenses this scholarship for Indians covers, they are:

  • Students’ tuition,
  • Living expenses such as housing, transportation, food, clothing, and leisure,
  • Travel expenses for the entire duration of the one-year postgraduate program.

Who is Eligible for the Scholarship?

This fully funded Indian scholarship in the UK is available to all Indian students who want to pursue a one-year master’s program. Take note that you’re required to have a minimum of two years of work experience before you’ll be considered eligible for the scholarship.

Applications for these scholarships will be accepted from September.
