LASU Academic Calendar 2024/2025 Academic Session Announced

We wish to notify all new and returning students of Lagos State  University, Ojo (LASU) that the university’s administration has made adjustments to the academic calendar for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The revised LASU academic calendar is designed to span approximately one year. All academic and non-academic activities have been meticulously scheduled within the approved timeframe, as directed by the university’s management.

LASU ACADEMIC CALENDAR 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION

The academic calendar for LASU is as follows:

The Senate of Lagos State  University, Ojo convened an emergency meeting  during which they ratified the adjusted academic calendar for the 2024/2025 academic sessions as outlined below:

FIRST SEMESTER 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION

The academic session is poised to commence with an initial focus on freshers’ resumption, medicals, and registration, starting from Monday, 15th January to Friday, 26th January 2024. Following this, returning students will join for registration, paving the way for lectures to begin on Monday, 22nd January and continue until Friday, 29th March 2024.

CRITICAL DATES AND ACTIVITIES:

• Late Registration: Mark your calendar for Monday, 11th to Friday, 22nd March 2024 if you miss the initial registration window, albeit with a penalty fee.
• Examinations: Prepare to undertake your first major assessment between Monday, 1st to Friday, 19th April 2024.
• Results: Expect grading and uploading of results shortly thereafter, from Monday, 22nd April to Friday, 3rd May 2024.
• Departmental and Faculty Reviews: Your results will undergo consideration from Monday, 6th to Friday, 10th May 2024.
• Senate Deliberation: The culmination of the semester’s academic efforts will be the collation of results and the Senate meeting scheduled from Monday, 13th to Thursday, 16th May 2024.
• Semester Break: Enjoy a well-deserved break starting from Thursday, 16th to Friday, 31st May 2024.

SECOND SEMESTER 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION OVERVIEW

As you gear up for the second half of the year, lectures for all students from 100 to 500 levels are set to resume on Monday, 3rd June 2024 and will proceed until Friday, 9th August 2024.

KEY SECOND SEMESTER DATES:

• Examinations: Your academic prowess will be tested again from Monday, 12th to Friday, 30th August 2024.
• Results Processing: The grading and uploading of results will follow, from Monday, 2nd to Friday, 13th September 2024.

WRAPPING UP THE SEMESTER:

• Result Corrections: Attend to any necessary corrections from Monday, 16th to Friday, 20th September 2024.
• Final Senate Review: A final review and consideration of results by the Senate will take place from Monday, 23rd to Friday, 27th September 2024.
• End of Session: The academic year will officially conclude on Monday, 30th September 2024, as the end of semester/sessional break commences.
